Antoinette Raynal
Antoinette graduated from the N.S.W. Conservatorium of Music with a B. Mus.Ed and majored in Voice and Piano. Antoinette has sung solo in all styles of music from Liturgical, Classical, Jazz to Pop with Orchestras, Big Bands, Jazz groups, Choirs and performed her own compositions and arrangements. She has also conducted and played tenor horn and percussion with community bands.
Antoinette has taught across all areas of K-12 music education establishing numerous choirs, orchestras and concert bands. She has directed school and community Musicals and loves teaching in an interactive and creative Orff classroom. She ran her own instrumental studio and prepared and accompanied students for their yearly AMEB examinations. While Director of Music at SCECGS Redlands, Cremorne, she established a vital K-12 curricular and co-curricular music programme and enjoyed teaching HSC and International Baccalaureate Music.
Relocating to the South Coast encouraged Antoinette to start Katandra and continue her love of music within her new community. Time spent managing and conducting the choir are donated in her capacity as Musical Director.
She says 'Seeing the joy and satisfaction someone has when they sing as part of a live and energetic choral sound is the best. My two favourite members comments are “I didn’t think I could ever do this!?” and “This is so much fun!”
